From Oslo we flew to Stockholm, Sweden where we stayed for 3 nights. We were going to stay longer however there is a large conference here this week/weekend and all of the hotels are booked. So, today we are flying back to Copenhagen until we leave for home on Saturday.

Stockholm is a beautiful city with lots to do. However, we decided to do a lot of walks here in the city as well as shopping. Our first day here we took the IKEA bus to Ikea and shopped for several hours. The rest of the day was spent shopping in the city center. Yesterday we visited another castle and then went to the old town. We've had a great time but are rapidly running out of money and are getting tired of living out of a suitcase.

We'll be back in the states Saturday night!!

Hello from Oslo! From Balestrand we took a 2 hour ferry to Flåm and then took the famous Flåm railway to Myrdal then took another train to Oslo. We arrived late last night and have spent the day walking the city and visiting museums. We viewed the Nobel Peace Center and the new Holocost museum. The Nobel Peace Center was spectacular and we really learned a lot. Tomorrow we are off to Stockholm for at least 3 days...

Today we left on a boat from Bergen to Balestrand. The boat traveled through the fjords and finally into the sognefjorden, the longest fjord in the world. It has been a foggy and cloudy day but is still a beautiful and amazing place! When we arrived in Balestrand we arranged our glacier hiking tour for tomorrow....this is probably the whole reason we came to Norway. So to say the least we are very excited. We spent the afternoon on our patio overlooking the fjords and watching the porpoises play and eat. Dinner this evening was a buffet type with lots of seafood, cheese, meats and desserts! We were seated by the window overlooking the bay.

There are lots of pictures but we are staying in a very old hotel and their computer does not have a USB port. So, you will be bombarded with photos probably when we reach Oslo.

Hi, we are now in beautiful, beautiful Bergen, Norway!! Wow, what an amazing place. Today was a busy day because we leave early Wednesday morning on a boat tour to the fjords and then to our hotel. Today we visited the outdoor market, shops, rode the funicular to the top of Mt. Fløyen, hiked, and went to the aquarium. The forest here is amazing with ferns, 3 leaf clovers, and moss everywhere. It reminds us of Vancouver, BC. We love it here and really wish we had planned more time here. I can't download pictures from this computer so you'll see them soon.

It is Sunday evening and we arrived in Aarhus by train this afternoon. We specifically came to Aarhus for a music festival that seems to have ended last night (even though everything said today's date). So, we are using today to rest up for this coming week. Last night we had dinner with my friend Astrid at a great french restaurant. Apparently it is Danish tradition to place a Danish flag at the table if you are celebrating something. So Astrid told them about our honeymoon here and they brought over a flag to our table.

If you're looking at a map, so far we have been to Copenhagen, Hillerød, Helsingør, and now Aarhus. Tomorrow we catch a plane to Bergen, Norway for some spectacular hiking.

Hello all! We have arrived after a 7 and a half hour flight. We are having the time of our lives. So far we have had plenty of danish beer, pastry, shopping, castles, and "Jody's" on bikes as Jeff puts it. The weather has been beautiful! Pictures are on they're way...  We are staying just behind Ny Haven which is the picture you see above.

Tonight is another traditional danish meal... hopefully seafood and the Tivoli. Sunday we are off to Aarhus for their annual music festival and then on to Bergen, Norway on Monday. We'll be in touch!
